Nazaré, Portugal

We made some smaller modifications to the yacht in Nazaré in Silcar yacht yard.
New batteries and a Christec battery separator. The main fuse was also raised to the same level with the separator and the battery tops. The Watt and Sea hydrogen was powered and the solar panels where installed with new battery shields.
Engine sweet water heat exhanger was cleaned and new water pump bearings and sealants where changed.
Chart table was separated better from the heat of the stowe. Chartplotter and other instruments got a wooden frame.
Watertight bulkheads in the front were varnished. The Atlantic locks where installed on cockpit door. One leaking skylight was changed to new.
Toilet seat was raised above the water line.
We got the third reef on the main sail.
We were quite fast on down wind, although we were heavily loaded with gear, water and fuel. We had a lot of wind all the time and newer had a chance to try  our big genacker on down wind occasions.
