The last fiberglass part is now almost ready. Hatch lid on stern extension. Lot of measurement and details was needed with the hinge and the flenge of the hatch.

Measuring the whiskey stays
The bowsprit is 70 cm from the bow and nearly one meter from the fore stay. RST stay is fitted underneath to give strenhgt when genacker is pulling. The stay underneath is also stiffener when jumping on it. Here modelling the starboard side GRP whiskey stay.

The stays are of GRP with foam core. They are going to be covered with strong coal fiber layers.

Fuel tanks
Extra fuel tank installation.
We are going to have two main tanks 55 l each and 3 x 20 l aluminium cans fitted and secured below deck. We possibly need some extra cans on deck for the Atlantic crossing.

Mounting the new stern
The stern at its place
Now just to fasten the whole thing. 50 pieces of 8 mm stainless bolts and laminate joint on either side of the hull. Piece of cake but still a lot of details to be solved.

The stern is made of fiberglass with core material. It is light and srong. Nice surface must be made before installing it to the boat.

Keel area is stiff now. Flooring teaks are on their place again. Interior details for windows etc. Are being fitted.

Starting to put the interior together again
A lot of screws and work to put the interior together again. We found a new colour beside the varnish. The grey colour is stylish and gives a needed variation for the wood works.

45 days to go
45 days to go with the building of S/y Naneux for the Atlantic Ocean
Unscrewing everythinh once more to make paint works and last fiberglass reinforcements.
Last fiberglass works before putting the interior together.
Laminating some longitudial stringers between the first and last keel stocks. Making the bottom laminate thicker and stronger on the areas where possible impact is obvious.
